Sahir Anand

In his current role, Sahir Anand is the retail & CPG industry principal and category leader within Microsoft Azure+AI Engineering team, part of cloud commercial communities at Microsoft. His team’s charter is to identify innovative and disruptive technology providers and startups and enable their platform integration within the Azure SaaS, PaaS and IaaS marketplace and with other Microsoft products (Dynamics, PowerBI, others).

In a career span of 18 years, Sahir primarily focused on learning and building expertise within retail and a few other adjoining consumer industries. Sahir has worked in big-box retail, field and Omnichannel operations for companies like Nordstrom and Staples.

After his retail industry stint, he fulfilled several retail and consumer industry analyst and research leadership roles at Aberdeen Group, EKN Research, EIQ Research Solutions and SAPinsider. Sahir also held a strategy leadership role in the cloud ISV space with Trace One, a B2B supply chain transparency, collaboration and private label product lifecycle management cloud-based ISV. Over the years, Sahir has published several industry reports, blogs, whitepapers, videos focused on retail and CPG industry business and technology areas and he is an avid speaker at industry events.
